Bullying is widespread and perhapsthe most under reported human rights abuse in schools around the world. Yes, you read it right. Bullying is a violation of our human right to safety, non-discrimination and equality. Once thought of as simply a rite of passage or relatively harmless behavior that helps build young people's character, bullying is now known to have long-lasting harmful effects, for both the bullied and the bully.
The Human Rights Education Programme offers you resources that can help you identify and respond to bullying in an effective and structured manner, across every area of school life. We have developed bullying related resources gathered from extensive research and the shared experiences of the Human Rights Friendly School Network to help you build a safer, happier and more inclusive environment for every child in your school.
